DAVID R. SMITH was born in Pineville, Kentucky. He was admitted to the bar in 1979 for the State of Georgia. His education includes Armstrong State College and the University of Georgia (A.B., cum laude, 1976; J.D., 1979). He is a member of the Atlanta Bar Association, the State Bar of Georgia, the Savannah Bar Association, the Georgia Defense Lawyers Association and the Defense Research Institute.
